Next a coat of white gelcoat is applied to get every detail on the fish. |

Once the gelcoat is dried , three to four layers of fiberglass matt is applied for strength. Once the four coats of matt are dried , the fish is rolled over and the process is repeated. |

Upon completion of the backside, the mold is cut along the outer edge so separation of the two halves can begin. |
|
Once the two halves are separated the fish will be remove and some of the parts will be collectedy by the marine research center for study. |
|
The new mold is then cleaned and thoroughly dried. |
